Oncology Unit

This unit is dedicated to providing comprehensive cancer care services to patients across Taraba State. It operates through the TeleOncology Hub Program, developed in collaboration with the Cancer Consciousness Initiative (CCI). Patients can access telemedicine consultations with oncology specialists for diagnosis, treatment planning, and case review, which helps reduce delays and improves care coordination.

In partnership with Oncopadi under the BRANT Program, the unit offers free Immunohistochemistry (IHC) testing for breast cancer cases referred to the hub, facilitating accurate and personalized treatment decisions. It also supports multidisciplinary team consultations following NCCN Sub-Saharan Africa harmonized clinical guidelines and provides patient navigation services for ongoing follow-up and support.

The unit is committed to strengthening cancer care services and improving patient outcomes throughout the state.
