Paediatrics
This is a main clinical department with a 72-bed capacity. It caters to children from birth to 14 years, providing both preventive and curative care for outpatients and inpatients. The department is headed by a Consultant Paediatrician.
Services offered:
- Neonatal services in the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) for in-born and outborn babies, operating 24/7.
- Emergency Paediatric Unit (EPU).
- Paediatrics Medical Ward (PMW).
- Paediatric outpatient department (POPD).
- Paediatric Infectious Disease Ward and Clinic (Medical Clinic 2).
- Training Services: Includes training for House Officers, residents on postings from Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Family Medicine Departments, in-house training for newly employed doctors, updates for older doctors, and training for other health care workers on basic childcare.
- Collaborative Services.
