The Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Jalingo has reaffirmed its leading role in tackling breast cancer, calling for stronger collaboration among government, health institutions, and civil society. The call was made during the Taraba Pinktober 2025 Mega Rally and Town Hall Meeting, organized by the Nigeria Cancer Society (Taraba Chapter) in partnership with the Cancer Consciousness Initiative (CCI).

Represented by Dr. Suleiman Abubakar Kirim, the Medical Director, Dr. Aisha Shehu Adamu, highlighted FMC Jalingo’s position as a pilot site for CCI’s Tele-Oncology Programme—an innovation that improves access to specialist cancer care for underserved communities.
